Our Team
Austin McKnight is co-founder of Southern Creek Homes and oversees daily operations. In addition to his role at SCH, he is also the Branch Manager and National Construction Administrator for Primary Residential Mortgage, Inc., where he helps people finance their dream home. Austin is a member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of 2011 and holds a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Economics. He actively serves as the current 2025 President of the Greater Brazos Valley Builders Association, chairs the GBVBA Government Affairs Committee, and serves on the Contracts Committee for the Texas Association of Builders. Austin has always had an interest in the construction industry, so when the opportunity presented itself in 2015 to partner with his brother and bring Southern Creek Homes to life, he couldn’t resist making his dream of becoming a homebuilder a reality. Outside of work, Austin has a number of hobbies that he enjoys and recently received his pilot’s license. He is looking forward to pursuing additional ratings, flying to, and exploring new places.
Travis McKnight is co-founder and Managing Member of Southern Creek Homes. As a third-generation builder, Travis is passionate about the construction industry and at SCH he is not only involved with the daily management of the company, but more specifically handles the accounting and bookkeeping of the company. Travis is also the President/CEO of National Capital Funding, LLC., a construction funds administrator whose services provide residential mortgage lenders the ability to offer true One-Time Close FHA, VA, and USDA Construction/Permanent Loans to their clients without the expense of managing and maintaining their own construction loan departments. Travis holds bachelor’s degrees in both Business Management and Marketing. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors with his wife, daughter, and son.
